The Brooklyn-based multi-platinum producer behind hits for Juelz Santana, Fabolous and The Game is now stepping into the spotlight solo with a new single and new album. Danny “D-Roc” Collington puts his #goals to wax for his debut single “Billionaire,” premiering on Billboard.
“Becoming a billionaire is one of the major goals that I want to achieve in my lifetime,” D-Roc tells Billboard in a statement before saluting the rappers Fabolous and Game who gave him the opportunity to shine in 2004 and 2005. “The record is basically me voicing my dream on a beat.”
He continues, “It’s completely introspective. The irony is anyone and everyone can relate to wanting more out of life, whether it be monetary or not. It took me roughly four hours to produce, write and record. I think it’s perfect for the summer. We need more positive vibes coming out of the city right now.”
