In celebration of Pride month, we released a special limited edition newsprint issue that features six members of the queer and transgender communities who answer the question “How do you do it?” Each participant offers an intimate glimpse into their life by opening up and discussing what their process is when working to overcome hardships and insecurities. The mission of this series is to raise awareness beyond gay marriage and with the understanding that “being proud” of who you are is very difficult when so many LGBTQIA+ individuals, and especially those of color, deal with trauma and hardship on multiple levels.
In addition to our special print issue, we created a coinciding video series below featuring the six featured humyns who were brave and kind enough to share their stories with us.
